The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially published the Date Sheet for the December 2025 Term-End Examinations (TEE). Students from all programmes—Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma, Certificate, PG Diploma, and FYUP—can now check the complete exam schedule and plan their preparation accordingly.
Examination Period
The IGNOU December 2025 TEE will be conducted from:
1st December 2025 to 14th January 2026
Exams will run for over a month, covering all theory courses registered for this semester.
Examination Sessions
- Morning Session: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Evening Session: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
(The exact time duration will be printed on the question paper.)

You must:

Important Guidelines & Requirements
IGNOU has highlighted that exam permission is provisional and will be granted only if students have:
✔ Valid and active course registration
✔ Submitted all required assignments on time
✔ Completed minimum study duration
✔ Paid the examination fee for all appearing courses
Failure to meet any of these conditions will result in the result being withheld.
Answer Sheet Language Instructions
- Answers will ONLY be accepted in the language in which the course or programme is offered.
- Students may answer in Hindi even if they registered in English (except language programmes).
- Scripts written in a language not allowed will be cancelled.
MCQ / OMR Based Courses
Certain programmes will have objective-type exams (MCQ/OMR):
- BDP/BTS/BCA/BSW
- CLIS
- CBS
- DVAPFV, DDT, DMT, DWM
- And some CBCS-based bachelor’s courses
No Support for Date Clash (IMPORTANT)
IGNOU has clearly stated that clash of exam dates will NOT be considered if the courses:
- Fall under the same group (BDP Groups 1–6, CBCS Groups, or FYUP Groups)
- Belong to similar academic categories
- Are backlog courses from different years
Students must plan accordingly based on course selection and group structure.
Course Grouping Notes
IGNOU organizes some courses into groups. All courses under one group are scheduled on the same date and time.
Examples include:
- BDP Grouping: Group 1 to Group 6
- CBCS Grouping: English, Hindi, Sociology, History, Psychology, Economics, etc.
- FYUP Disciplines: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Geology, and more
Students cannot request changes due to these fixed groupings.
Special Updates
➡ Bengali Writing Option Added
Learners from CRD, PGDRD & MARD (from June 2024 onwards) will be allowed to write exams in Bengali.
➡ Combined Exams
Some courses like MPH002 & MPH003 and MPH013 & MPH014 will be held together with separate question papers.
➡ Practical Examinations
Programmes like PGDLAN, BLIS, MLIS have practical exams.
Students must contact their respective Regional Centres for exact dates and centres.
Daily Course-Wise Exam Schedule
The date sheet contains a detailed day-by-day course list, starting from:
- 1 December 2025: MS01, BECC133, BANC133, MEG01, ECO11, etc.
- …and continues till
- 14 January 2026: RANE102, RCSE002, BST exams, and many more courses.
Students are advised to download and store a copy for reference.
⚠ Important Disclaimer
- If a learner has already passed a course but still appears for improvement through online registration, the result will not be declared.
- For division improvement, students must apply offline only, within six months of the marksheet issue.
